My name is Victoria Karr, and I am a couture dress designer specializing in the engineering and structural construction of bridal and formal gowns. For more than 30 years, I have dedicated my life to the art and craft of creating dresses, with particular expertise in corset-based designs and couture garment construction.

I approach every gown not only as a designer, but also as an engineer of the dress. A truly beautiful gown is not only about fabric or decoration, but also about structure. Through advanced couture techniques and professional corsetry, I create dresses that sculpt, support, and enhance the natural shape of the body.

Corset construction has always been the heart of my work. I specialize in designing and building internal corset structures that shape the silhouette while providing stability and comfort. Using professional construction methods and high-quality structural elements such as steel boning and couture layers, I create gowns that maintain their form and elegance throughout the entire event.

Over the years, I have developed a deep understanding of how to work with many different body types. I truly believe that every woman deserves to feel beautiful in her dress, regardless of size or body shape. My passion is to help women of all sizes—from petite to curvy and plus-size— look and feel extraordinary.

This service was created from my lifelong passion for dressmaking and from my desire to bring couture craftsmanship to every client I work with. There is nothing more rewarding for me than the moment when a woman looks at herself in the mirror and realizes how wonderful she looks in a perfectly constructed gown.

We offer a limited number of bridal services each year to provide a private, refined, and couturelevel experience for every client.

Our service works with all body shapes and sizes - from regular to curvy from 0-32 sizes - creating gowns that are beautifully structured,
supportive, and elegant.

Couture Alterations & Dress Customization

We provide professional alterations and customization for wedding gowns and formal dresses. Our work focuses not only on the fit, but also on the structure and engineering of the gown, ensuring it supports and shapes the body beautifully.

Our service also offers hand-applied lace work, lace redesign, and carefully sourced unique fabrics that allow each gown to be customized with refined and elegant details.

Services may include:

  • Taking in or letting out the dress
  • Strap or sleeve adjustments
  • Bodice reshaping
  • Adding or rebuilding an internal corset
  • Structural support for comfort and silhouette

Fitting Process

Most alteration projects require 2–4 private fittings:

1. Consultation and gown evaluation

4. Final fitting and completion

To meet different client needs, we offer three service packages:

Standard Package – essential professional alterations and fit adjustments.

Premium Package – advanced tailoring, structural improvements, and design modifications.

Couture Package – full structural reconstruction, corset integration, and couture-level customization.

Custom Wedding & Formal Gowns

Sizes 0–32

We design and create custom gowns made individually for each client. Every dress is constructed using couture techniques and carefully engineered structure.

Our gowns are designed to complement all body types — from regular to curvy and plus size — using internal corset systems that sculpt the silhouette while maintaining comfort.

For custom gowns we also offer a selection of carefully sourced fabrics and laces, allowing each design to be unique.

Our couture boutique offers a small, curated collection of ready dresses available for purchase.

Private Fitting Experience

All services are offered by private appointment only.

To maintain exceptional quality and personal attention, we accept a limited number of bridal clients each year.

Fitting Preparation

For your private couture fitting, please bring:

  • The exact shoes you will wear on your wedding or special day
  • The undergarments you plan to wear with your gown, including bras, shapewear, or corsets

Private Fitting Timeframes

  • Multiple fittings may be required depending on gown complexity
  • Every appointment is private, focused, and tailored for perfect fit and elegance

Guest Policy:

To preserve the exclusive and luxurious experience, we allow up to 4 guests to attend your private fitting.

This ensures every detail of your gown—from length to silhouette—is perfected in a calm, intimate, and couture-focused environment.

How long does it take to custom design a dress?

This timeframe ensures that every detail, from the design concept to the final fittings, is handled with precision and care. The exact duration may vary depending on the complexity of the design, the level of customization, and fabric availability. May I customize or modify any of your designs?

HOW MANY FITTINGS ARE REQUIRED FOR ALTERATIONS TO BE COMPLETED?

You would need at least two fittings.

How long does it take to do alterations, and do you offer expedited services?

Typically, the standard time frame for alterations is about 2-4 months. We offer expedited services for an additional fee.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING WITH ME TO FITTING APPOINTMENTS?

You would need to have your undergarments and the shoes that you are planning to wear with your garment.

DOES VICTORIA KARR FASHION LLC PROVIDE GARMENT PRESSING?

Yes, at Victoria Karr Fashion LLC, we are pleased to provide complimentary pressing and steaming services for wedding gowns/ mother-of-the bride dresses/ bridesmaid’s dresses/ prom dresses purchased from and altered by us. Pressing and steaming for garments purchased elsewhere are offered at an additional cost.
